A wedding at the historic Bergzabern Palace
For the wedding of Maike and Lukas I went to Bad Bergzabern on the southern Weinstraße as a wedding photographer. The wedding ceremony of those two was held in the historic castle of Bad Bergzabern. The traditional construction, which was built in 1705, was perfectly suited as a backdrop for the beginning of my wedding documentary. The champagne reception was held on the other side of the street in the hotel Bergzaberner Hof. In bright sunshine and surrounded by the picturesque old town, great shots of the first well-wishers and newlyweds were created.
From the Bergzabern Palace to the Schlössl in Oberotterbach
Maike and Lukas had chosen the old Schlössl Oberotterbach as location for their wedding celebrations, a perfect choice. In a relaxed atmosphere and in front of a great scenery we could already shoot some beautiful couple pictures in the garden of the property. After that we drove to the nearby vineyards for some more. Back at the Schlössl in Oberotterbach, we took the opportunity for common group pictures of the family and friends in the beautiful park area. As a wedding photographer, I was part of the ensuing celebration, which took place in the vaulted cellar of the house. I was able to capture the big moments as well as the unexpected happenings: from the emotional surprise of the parents, who gifted an old treasure chest full of memories of the couple, to the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. Only in the early morning hours, the successful party came to an end. Dear Maike and Lukas, thank you so much for the great day I was allowed to spend with you and your confidence in my work. Have fun with your wedding reportage!
